My associates and I at Crime Wire are currently looking into the March 2007 death of Sgt. Patrick Rust of the 10th Mountain Division, headquartered at Fort Drum near Watertown, New York. Patrick returned from deployment to Afghanistan in January 2007. On March 16 he went missing from a local bar. His remains were found in a farmer's field outside of Watertown six months later. The cause and manner of his death remain undetermined.

We would like to talk with anyone stationed at Fort Drum during that time period, or anyone who may have information that will help us find out what happened to Patrick that March night.
