Andy will tell you the love of his life are his EIGHT Newfies (Newfoundland dogs) which all carry Marine Corps names however, nothing can come between the love he has for both his countries; the U.S. where he was raised and served knowing that Freedom is never Free and the country of his birth, Iceland.
Andy will always speak lovingly of the land of Hot & Cold and recently earned the right to have his name added to this list of Icelandic Vikings (Warriors).
With pride Chef Andy now carries the title of a Viking Norseman.

Both of my parents served in the USAF; my father is a Vietnam vet, retired as SMSGT. My sister and I grew up in seven states plus three years in Japan--what a way to see the country!
Musically speaking, I was raised on Sousa marches and all things military; played 2nd trumpet in my high school band which meant that I got to play all the cool harmonies I was classically trained in voice in college and I've sung in many different ensembles and choirs throughout the years, plus a few friends' weddings Music is an integral part of my life as you may have guessed by now!
I have successfully raised four children--my youngest daughter Noelle serves as a USMC Lance Corporal so I am once again drawn back into the military fold, and happily so. I'm involved with the Adopt A Hero program that supports deployed service personnel and also with a (fairly) local Blue Star Mothers chapter.
I am quasi-retired, living the dream on 26 acres that is mostly hay-producing (1200-1400 bales per year). I have a dozen chickens that keep my husband and myself (and friends & family) readily supplied with fresh eggs, one old Labrador, one old horse, one cow, and four cats that ensure low rodent and rabbit populations.
Music Styles are anything from Bach to the blues, classic rock, some bluegrass, and some country
