DJ Doctor Jim’s father was a Korean War Veteran as a MP, Doc served during the Iran Hostage Crisis, Grenada, and Operation Earnest Will from 1980 – 1988 with the MOS of Combat Engineer and Drill Instructor, Doc’s son Stephen (Combat Medic) currently returned state side after serving his 2nd tour in Iraq and brother Mike who is a CSM for the Missouri Army National Guard: All U.S. ARMY Veterans.

Doc also served as a Reserve Police Officer and is currently a Corporate 1st Responder for Chrysler Group LLC where he has worked for the last 19 - years

DJ Doctor Jim is the author and editor of three Books, "Spiritual Dogma," "In the Words of a Leader," and "To Gaze Into the Eyes of Hell" dedicated to Doc's son.

Doc is the AMVETS State of Indiana’s Americanism Chairman as well as the 1st District Commander AMVETS (Indiana) and an Ambassador for the U.S. Army’s Freedom Team Salute Program.

Active Duty:  US Navy [1969 to 1972], Hospital Corpsman, CPO 3rd Class. Boot camp: San Diego,  

California, Class A School at Balboa Naval Hospital, San Diego, California, Ship Duty: USS St. Paul [only 6 weeks before I fell gravely ill and was transported back to Balboa Naval Hospital just 5 hours before shipping out to the Coast of Viet-Nam, Stationed at Naha Naval Air Base in Naha, Okinawa [island was still under US Military control] for 22 months.  Spent time on Okinawa helping prepare US Marines in final staging before leaving for in-country.  Most of my time was spent logging in the personal effects of fallen Sailors and Marines. The rest of that story I will leave unsaid. I was also stationed at Treasure Island Naval Station [San Francisco, California] for a few months waiting for active duty discharge.
