ARTIST SPOTLIGHT
Janis Malicious
Janis Malicious is an Australian singer-songwriter, based in Melbourne. She is currently about to break out on the world stage with interest from record publishers, song writers, musicians and producers.
After moving to Melbourne for university, she performed under the name ‘Le Fay’ at open mic venues; including the Brunswick Hotel (Brunswick), the Vineyard (St Kilda) and performed at the Icy Creek Music Festival and the Fehily Contemporary Art Gallery.
In 2014 Janis concentrated on writing and recording her own music, when she was discovered on YouTube by Alex Houton (AHM Media, Spotlight87). Houton invited her to New York to produce two singles with himself and Grammy Award winner Brian Vibberts (Mariah Carey, Foo Fighters, Lauryn Hill.) Upon her return to Australia, one of the singles was immediately signed to a publishing deal with Magesongs Publishing who are pitching it to Atlantic Records.
